A correctly sized solar system makes a motorhome, caravan or boat self-sufficient and consists of three components: solar panel, solar charge controller and battery.
During the day, the battery is immediately recharged as power is consumed, and at night, the battery is prevented from discharging. The devices are characterized by high operational reliability. High-quality charging technology combined with intelligent microprocessor control ensures precise adherence to charging voltages, currents and times. The main charging output with IU1oU2 charging profile can be optimally set for lead-acid/wet batteries, gel or AGM/mat batteries.
With the temperature sensor (recommended accessory) for battery temperature compensation, the charging voltage is automatically increased at low temperatures (winter operation), allowing the weakened battery to be charged more effectively and quickly. At summer temperatures, the charging voltage is reduced, thereby reducing the stress (gassing) on the battery or increasing the service life of sealed (e.g. gel) batteries. The second charging output has reduced voltage and current and is used for trickle charging and maintenance charging of the vehicle's starter battery during long periods of inactivity.
